Is it a valid saying that the verse of Proclamation (Tabligh) has been revealed during the war of Bani Anmar against the Prophet (s.a.)?

Jabir Ibn ‘Abdullah Ansari has quoted from Ibn Abi Hatam that he said, “the Prophet (s.a.) sat on a well during his war against Bani Anmar. A man from Bani Najjar whose name was “Warith” or “Ghawrath Ibn Harith”, intended to murder the Prophet (s.a.)… he went to the Prophet (s.a.) and told him, “give me your sword to smell it”, the Prophet (s.a.) gave it to him. Then, the sword slipped out of his hand and fell down. The Prophet (s.a.) told him, “God prevented you from what you intended to do”, after that the following verse was revealed, ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْکَ مِن رَّبِّکَ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللهُ يَعْصِمُکَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللهَ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْکَافِرِينَ﴾
[1]“o messenger, deliver what is sent down to you from your lord (to the people); if you do not, you will not have conveyed his message. Allah protects you from (the probable dangers of) the people. Allah does not guide the nation, the (obstinate) unbelievers”. [2]
In reply to him we have to say that: firstly, after quoting this narrative Ibn Kathir has said, “This is an unusual narrative from Jabir”. [3]
Secondly, this story has been quoted in different forms; Abu Hurayrah has quoted it in another way, [4] and the narrative becomes invalid, when there are different ways of quotations.
Thirdly, there is a contrast between the story and the verse because according to the verse, there is a promise (from God) to protect the Prophet (s.a.) for proclaiming His message.
Fourthly, a conspiracy to murder the Prophet (s.a.) was not a new matter to be a reason why God guarantees the protection of the Prophet (s.a.) -based on the mentioned verse- at the end of his prophecy mission.
Fifthly, this event is in contrast to all the quoted narratives by the Sunnis and the Shia, because according to them, the Prophet (s.a.) was worried over proclaiming the command which was revealed upon him. [5]
